Direct Lake on OneLake is a game-changer for working with large-scale data in OneLake, offering faster, simpler, and more flexible semantic modeling in Power BI. What is Direct Lake on OneLake? It's a new storage mode for Power BI semantic models that allows direct connection to Delta tables stored in Microsoft Fabric's OneLake. This bypasses the SQL analytics endpoint of Lakehouses and Warehouses.
